- Learn by doing - Ulysses' simulations provide your reps an opportunity to learn and continually practice the targeted skills in a safe environment with simulated customers versus practicing on real customers. Ulysses' simulations make use of multiple paths known as "branches", which allow reps to pursue multiple paths in the conversation based on how the simulated customer responds. The branching emulates the dynamic and complex nature of customer calls so your reps learn by doing and learn through failure.
- Learn through failure - Adults learn best at the point of failure because at that moment, their previous assumptions are challenged. Ulysses' simulations provide reps the opportunity to fall into "potholes" carefully built into the skill practice. They have plenty of opportunities to take conversation paths that go "off track" - placing themselves in a "ditch" and experiencing what it's like to have an angry or frustrated customer get even more so - and then navigate the call back "on track".
- Just-In-Time Coaching - As your reps fall into the simulated call "potholes", an online coach appears letting them know why the customer just reacted the way they did and what the reps can do differently. The online coach then encourages your reps to resume the simulated call to apply what they just learned.
Over time, your reps learn how to get calls back on track and how to avoid potholes in the first place. They learn how to strike the right balance between focusing on customers needs and focusing on productivity...on each and every call.
